The Tom Joyce Farm walk is not something you will find in any of our competitor's tour brochures. This is not something that can even be described as a product. Tom Joyce encapsulates the soul of Western Ireland with his ability to take you back in time making the stone walls speak as he relates tales of the first peoples, the Famine years, lake monster sighting and his insightful view of where we are going with our current precarius relationship with this planet.
Tom Joyce is a sheep farmer when there is no one to listen to what he has to say but many people do come to listen and we actively promote visitors to this beautiful island to take time to meet what can be described as one of Ireland's greatest living treasures.
While we do not suggest people call in on Tom without prior arrangement we have actively included the 2-hour (on average) guided walk on Tom's farm in many of our tours and to do our part to make sure this unforgettable tale is kept for posterity. Bog walks can be arranged on request but expect to get a little wet!
