Although a hinterland as opposed to a town, the main strip that includes Joyce’s shop could be said to be the epicenter. Amusing signs point out that items for sale include `Beer, Books, Eggs, Marble, Wool` and services include `Filling station, Undertaker` and another sign promises `For those who like this sort of place, this is the sort of place you like`. Across the road is a curious triangular lakeside monument stating that on this site in 1897 Nothing Happened`. They don’t tend to lie around these parts.
