Royal County Down is rightly uttered in the same breath as Muirfield, Carnoustie, and St. Andrews and has been repeatedly voted as the top golf course in Ireland and one of the top ten golf courses in the world. Its simply that good.

Royal County Down is certainly exhilarating, often times even maddening, particularly if the wind is blowing fierce off the Irish Sea, which it most often is. In this the ultimate of links courses, you're sure to experience the ultimate in golfing adventures.

Everyone who plays Royal County Down raves about the courses scenic beauty. So as a seemingly perfect drive is forever lost into the tallgrass, at least you'll be soothed by majestic Mountains of Mourne looming large on the horizon, or the sailboats bobbing in the nearby bay, or the classic steeple backdrop of nearby Newcastle, topped only by Slieve Donard itself. Playing a round of golf is is certainly one of golf's great pilgrimages, not to be forsaken across the span of one's golfing career.
