The Dublin Writer's Museum places a much deserved spotlight on on Ireland’s Nobel Laureates: Shaw, Yeats, Beckett and Heaney as well as other writers nurtured and inspired by Dublin’s streets, including James Joyce, Joseph Sheridan le Fanu, Jonathan Swift, Sean O’Casey and Brendan Behan. One of the city’s best restaurants, Chapter One, can be found below the Museum. If you wish to eat there, reservations are recommended.
While in the vicinity why not include a visit to the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery two doors down.

Our Take

For some reason the average visitor very rarely ventures this side of the River Liffey (at least until they have to go to the airport!). But the Dublin Writers Museum and surrounding Parnell Square is certainly worthy of a visit- so get walking!
