Gardens and Castles Tour of Ireland Itinerary
Day One
Depart from Newark on evening flight. Arrive six hours later in Ireland.
Day Two
Arrive Shannon Airport. Meet and Greet with Signpost Tours.
Transfer to Dromoland Castle for full Irish Breakfast.
Relax. Depart for a tour of the The Cliffs of Moher and a drive through The Burren Region in County Clare.
Return to Dromoland Castle. Check In. Lunch with your guide.
Free time to roam around the castle and it's grounds. Evening cocktails followed by dinner.
Day Three
Breakfast. Depart Dromoland Castle to County Kerry.
Gap of Dunloe Buse Tour. Horse and Cart ride followed by a boat trip through the Lakes of Killarney.
Visit to Muckross House and Gardens. Lunch. Irish Coffees to follow.
Transfer to Killarney Town. Check into Killarney Great Southern Hotel.
Dinner at Great Southern. Evening drinks in Killarney Town.
Day Four
Breakfast. Ring of Kerry Bus Tour.
Highlights include Skellig Michael, Round Tower, Beehive Cells, Kenmare Town and much more.
Lunch in Kenmare. Return to Killarney for guided walking tour of town.
Free time to shop or just relax. Dinner at Bricins.
Stay at the Killarney Great Southern Hotel.
Day Five
Breakfast. Transfer to Kilkenny City.
Enroute we will visit the famous Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle in County Cork. Tour of the Blarney Woollen Mills.
Lunch and Tour at the Waterford Crystal factory.
Check into Kilkenny hotel. Evening guided walking tour of this medieval city.
Dinner at Hotel. Free time to relax.
Day Six
Breakfast. Depart for the JFK Arboretum in County Waterford.
Guided Tour of Arboretum. Pony and trap transport and miniature railway available.
Pinic on the beech at Dunmore East on Ireland's sunny southeast.
Transfer back to Kilkenny City. Guided tour of Kilkenny Castle.
Evening tour of the Kilkenny Design Centre. Lecture by famous pottery artist. Dinner hosted by the Design Centre.
Day Seven
Breakfast. Depart for Dublin City.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Powerscourt Gardens and House Exhibition in County Wicklow. View the Powerscourt Waterfall, Ireland's highest at 398ft.
Lunch. Visit the shopping area that includes Avoca, Blarney Woollen Mills and other high end shops.
Continue to Dublin. Check into the Kilkea Castle.
Take a walking tour of Temple Bar Cultural Quartet. Visit the Guinness Storehouse and enjoy a pint in it's glass bar overlooking the city.
Dinner at the Quays in Temple Bar. Free time to explore the Irish pub scene.
Day Eight
Breakfast. Guided Tour of Medeival Dublin.
Attractions include Dublin Castle, Writer's Museum, Kilmainham Gaol, National Gallery, Book of Kells, Christchurch Cathedral amongst others.
In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the National Botanic Gardens which were established in 1795 and today contains over 20,000 floral species.
Late Afternoon - Free time to shop for gifts in Graffton Street, Dublin's High Street Shopping Area.
Medeival Night out at the Brazen Head with dinner/drink/music and dance.
Overnight at Kilkea Castle.
Day Nine
Early Breakfast.
Transfer to Dublin Airport. Depart to the US.
Arrive Home. Big Smiles. Great Memories.
